About Sikhi

Software companies write code.
We build systems people actually run their institutions on.

Sikhi started as a two-person build shop and grew into a studio that schools, foundations and businesses trust with both their software and their STEM infrastructure.

Our vision

To be the operating layer beneath India's schools and institutions — where every classroom runs on software it trusts, and every lab is built by hands that understand it.

Our mission

We exist to close the gap between what institutions need and what off-the-shelf software offers. That means writing software specific to how a school, foundation or business actually works — and, because so many of our clients are schools, extending that same care into the physical world: sourcing and setting up genuine Atal Tinkering Lab components so STEM education isn't stuck on a slide deck.

Every product we ship, from Progress360 to a single ATL sensor kit, is held to the same standard: does this make someone's job measurably easier tomorrow morning?

Built for the user

Every screen and every kit is designed around the person using it, not the org chart that commissioned it.

Reliability first

Institutions can't afford downtime during exam week. We engineer and support for that reality.

Plain honesty

Fixed scopes, real timelines, and pricing you understand before you sign — no vendor jargon.

Long-term support

We stay on after launch — most client relationships outlive the original contract by years.

Sikhi — founded by Shailesh Kumar
Founder

Shailesh Kumar

Founder & Chief Executive, Sikhi

Shailesh Kumar founded Sikhi with a simple observation: schools were being sold software built for offices, and STEM labs built to satisfy a checklist rather than a curriculum. He set out to build both properly — starting with a single school ERP and a single ATL lab, and growing Sikhi one working deployment at a time.

Under his direction, Sikhi has stayed a builder's company first — every product ships because a real institution needed it, not because a roadmap called for it.

"We're not trying to be the biggest software company. We're trying to be the one your school actually calls back — and picks up when you call us."
— Shailesh Kumar, Founder
Milestones

How Sikhi got here.

Year 1

Sikhi is founded

Shailesh Kumar starts Sikhi to build custom software for local institutions, taking on the first school website and admissions tool.

Year 2–3

School Manager launches

The first version of School Manager ships to three schools, consolidating admissions, fees and attendance into a single system.

Year 4

ATL parts division opens

Sikhi begins supplying Atal Tinkering Lab components directly to schools, pairing the software side of the business with hands-on STEM hardware.

Year 5–6

Progress360 and Divya Foundation platform

Progress360 launches as a standalone analytics product, and Sikhi builds a dedicated platform for Divya Foundation's education programs.

Today

60+ institutions, one studio

Sikhi now supports schools, foundations and businesses across multiple states — still building every product to the same standard it started with.
